EDUCATION
We are dedicated not only to practicing good stewardship and husbandry but also to passing on what we know to all interested parties. We offer mentorship to new Beekeepers, hive maintenance services to busy Beekeepers, and education to individuals and groups. Call for a consultation, arrange for an educational presentation, or attend one of our events. Check this page, or follow us on Facebook and Instagram, to get the latest on what we're offering.

PLANTING FOR POLLINATORS
Thorn Preserve, John Joy Road, Woodstock, NY
Yes, there is something you can do to help save honeybees - plant for them! Bring your family and friends out to the magnificent Thorn Preserve to help increase the variety of forage available to our resident honeybees. While we work, we'll discuss the importance of having a dependable variety of pollen and nectar for honeybee health, and will be available to answer your questions about bees and beekeeping.
We'll have a few tools and plants available, but if you'd like to bring your own, that would be great! Water and sunscreen will be provided. We’ll also offer our effective, natural tick repellent to sample and for purchase.
